You already know that I’m not the kind of women that goes in for huge mounds of tulle, princess-style gowns, or long swaths of chiffon. That doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate a little over the top in my wedding apparel though. Personally, I take it by way of quirky details, but this is one princessy gown that is done so well that even I am mentally photoshopping myself into it.

I love convertible clothing. Like those dresses that tie six ways? I love that. It never occured to me that this type of feture could be brought into the bridal kingdom with any grace, but here it is. This triple tiered mermaid gown by Natural Bridals is made of an eco-friendly hemp and silk jacquard. Not only that, but the bottom two tiers are totally detachable, which makes it a dream dress. This totally cuts out the problem of deciding whether to change for your reception. In other words, you can have your dress, and dance in it too. Available for $5,400 from Natural Bridal.

Max Factor is a cosmetics legend. Or, at least, he was. Credited with coining the term "makeup," he was preferred by Hollywood starlets such as Marilyn Monroe and invented both lip gloss and waterproof mascara. But according to Proctor and Gamble, which bought the makeup brand in 1991 from Revlon, Max Factor is not selling enough to stay on Amercian shelves. So what happpened to this iconic brand in its native nation? In contrast to CoverGirl's availability at 50,000 stores, Max Factor apparently only boasts 8,000 outlets.

The 1988 film Working Girl, starring Melanie Griffith, is a true pop culture relic of the '80s that was dated even as it reached its initial popularity. Though the movie has almost been lost with the passing of time, it remains an important depiction of women entering—for the first time, really—high powered positions in the capitalist hierarchy. The resulting stereotype of powerful working women is even more significant, however, in its falsified exaggeration.

Hold your breath boys because you could run out of it. Amrita Rao has gone up a notch in the hotness quotient with her role in Shortkut: The Con is On. The actress looks stunning - a far cry from her ridiculous clown outfit in Main Hoon Na - and truly lives up to the fact that M F Husain chose her as his muse!
