Procter & Gamble has sold its ethnic hair care products unit, Johnson Products Company. According to The Dallas Morning News, the investment group who purchased the company includes Eric Brown and Renee Cottrell-Brown - former executives at rival Pro-Line International, which was founded by Mrs. Brown's father. Partnering with the Browns are Los Angeles based private equity firms Rustic Canyon/Fontis Partners, LP and St. Cloud Capital LLC. Brown now becomes Johnson Products CEO and Cottrell-Brown is now executive vice president which puts the company back into the hands of black ownership.
